Let de Kok
Let de Kok is a Dutch visual artist working across ceramics and glass. After many years as an art teacher, she graduated from the Dutch Ceramics Institute (NKO) in Gouda in 2008 and has since been active as a full-time artist, now based in Oosterbeek.
Her work is characterized by abstract geometric compositions inspired by architectural forms. Using a visual language of lines, circles, triangles, and squares, she builds structured yet dynamic pieces in which repetition and variation create rhythm and balance. A key aspect of her practice is the interaction between object and viewer — many works are designed to be experienced from different angles, offering constantly shifting perspectives.
In her more recent wall panels, combining vinyl and layered glass, light and shadow play an important role. As the viewer moves, the composition subtly changes, introducing a kinetic quality to otherwise minimal forms.
Her distinctive approach has led to international recognition, including an early nomination for the World Ceramic Biennale in Korea. Since then, her work has been exhibited widely in galleries and museums across Europe and is included in both private and public collections.
