Tal Nehoray, Born 1975
Multidisciplinary artist working on various mediums. Since early childhood I was drawn to the arts and design fields. I keep exploring new materials and techniques combining traditional methods of creations with contemporary designs.
In my latest body of works “Anatomical studies” I combine ceramic sculpting painted with air brush, different ceramic glazes and hand painting. “In her work, Tal is using iconic and social symbols. She gives her own interpretation to these symbols, turning a day to day subject into a work of art.”
Tal is criticizing society. She gives the viewer something to think about. A day to day tranquilizer pill is turning into to a 20ml Happy pill made from ceramic to show the illusion of our consumption culture. An anatomical heart placed on a metal kinetic base to resemble the twists we go through life and the amounts of emotions the heart carries
