Nils Bahnsen
Nils is living in Hamburg / Germany. Since he was 10 years of age he has owned a camera and enjoyed photography. His other passion, sailing, lead him into his first vacational training as a sailor.
He sailed the world on different types of ships, from “optimists“ on inland waters to 4-mast barks across the Atlantic Ocean.
Eventually he turned to photography and studied in Berlin. Nils is specialized in architecture, aerial views, and sail photography. In this field he has been experimenting for many years to find his personal style.
Through his camera reality transforms into a fantastic mixture of shape and color. This way the sailing ships are turned into ghost ships.
